Route by car

If you have your own car or you have rented a car, you can easily get from Athens in about 2 hours.

Following the Attiki Odos Highway and then the National Road Athens - Corinth, take the exit for Epidaurus (the sign reads B OUTPUT Korinthos EPIDAVROS) and make immediate left (just opposite you will see the sign that says to Poros).

Drive for about 30 minutes and once you see on your left the sign cafeteria STORK after about 2.5 km you will see on your right a lot of signs. Just 30 meters exit right and then immediately left under the bridge and continue straight. Then follow the new road, taking care to see the sign to Poros. At this point you do obliquely left and you will reach the beach road in about 25 minutes in Galata, you take the small ferry to Poros.

Departures are every 30 minutes and the ticket price is about 5 € including driver and 0,80 € for each passenger.

Alternate, in Galata there is a public parking (free) to park your car, if you want to go to Poros by boats that depart every 10 minutes (fare € 0,80 per person).

Information about Ships

Conventional ships depart from the main port of Piraeus (Gate E8).

The journey time is about 2 hours and 30 minutes.

During the summer months there are about 3 departures a day, while in the winter months they are limited to 1 to 2 per day.

The ticket price is 13,30 € for adults, 6,70 € for children and IX costs 35 € (per journey). On some routes there are offers at the above rates.
